Ex-Sen. Brown To Advise Florida Security Firm
BOSTON (AP) — Former Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has taken a job consulting for a Florida firm eyeing small arms manufacturer and security.
The Palm Beach-based Global Digital Solutions, Inc. said it is positioning itself as "a leader in providing small arms manufacturing, complementary security and technology solutions."
Company President Richard Sullivan pointed to Brown's years in state and federal government and his experience serving in the Army National Guard.
Sullivan noted that during his tenure in the Senate, Brown served on three committees dealing with security and veterans issues including the Committee on Armed Services.
Brown said he's excited about advising the company on ways to help boost U.S. manufacturing and security.
Brown, a Republican, won a 2010 special U.S. Senate election, but lost a re-election bid two years later to Democrat Elizabeth Warren.
