Trooper Rescues Eagle With Broken Legs On Mass Pike

WEST SPRINGFIELD (CBS) -- A Massachusetts State Police trooper came to the rescue of an injured eagle Tuesday morning.

The agency said Trooper Peter Mullin assisted the eagle found in a travel lane of the Massachusetts Turnpike with two broken legs. A photo shows him holding the "majestic bird" in his neon jacket.
