'There Has Been A Little Uptick In Violence': 4 Men Injured In Dorchester Shooting
DORCHESTER (CBS) -- 4 men were shot on Saturday in the area of Cameron Street in Dorchester, according to Boston Police.
Police say the injuries for all of the people hurt are now "non-life-threatening", but responding officers did apply tourniquets to two of the victims, likely saving their lives.
Officials say the shooting took place at 34 Cameron Street at around 6 p.m.
"There were lots of [shots]," said one witness. "I called my son and said, 'Please, don't go outside.'"
As of Saturday night, no arrests have been made yet and the shooting is still under investigation.
"It's upsetting to the neighbors that live in the neighborhood," said Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Victor Evans. "There has been a little uptick in violence, so that's why we need the public's support to notify us if they have any information regarding this shooting."
