Diaw Bought Out By Bobcats, Could He Land With Celtics?
BOSTON (CBS) - Boris Diaw has been bought out by the Charlotte Bobcats, so cue up the Celtics rumor mill.
The 6-8 forward could help Boston off the bench, as they are in desperate need of some size to help spell Kevin Garnett and Brandon Bass in the front court.
Diaw had a falling out with Bobcats coach Paul Silas and was having trouble adapting to his limited roll on a 7-37 team. The nine-year veteran has averaged 9.6 points and 4.9 rebounds over his career, but those numbers dipped to 7.4 and 5.3, respectively, this season.

The 29-year-old Diaw does come with some red flags though, as he has come under some fire for his weight and conditioning this season. That would not fit in well with the Celtics transition offense. His shooting is also down to a career-low 41% from the floor and just 27% from beyond the arc.

Still, Diaw is one of the better big men available right now and with their lack of depth it would be worth it for the Celtics to take a chance. He wouldn't put the team over the edge, but anything to get KG some more rest for the final month and a half of the season would benefit the team come May.
