Denna Laing Tweets Video Message From Hospital Bed
BOSTON (CBS) - The professional women's hockey player who sustained a severe spinal cord injury during the Winter Classic has sent out a message to her fans and supporters.
Denna Laing, 24, of Marblehead was injured Dec. 31 playing for the Boston Pride in the outdoor game at Gillette Stadium against the Montreal Canadiennes.
Her parents said Denna has limited movement of her arms and no feeling in her legs.
She's being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she tweeted out a brief video Monday, saying "Hello, I'm back."
