Daily Talker: Report Of Will Ferrell Movie About Ronald Reagan Causing Controversy

He famously portrayed former President George W. Bush on "Saturday Night Live." Now comedian Will Ferrell is setting his sights on another former president. But not everyone is laughing. Variety reports Ferrell is set to star as former President Ronald Reagan in the planned movie "Reagan." It starts in Reagan's second term when he's battling dementia. The comedy focuses on a White House intern who has to convince the Dementia-stricken president that he is an actor playing the president in a movie. Reagan died in 2004 after battling Alzheimer's disease. His children are now speaking out against this project. Reagan's son tweeted, "What an outrage. Alzheimer's is not a joke. It kills. You should be ashamed. All of you." His daughter wrote an open letter to Ferrell saying in part, "Perhaps for your comedy you would like to visit some Dementia facilities. I had – I didn't find anything comedic there, and my hope would be that if you're a decent human being, you wouldn't either." What do you think?
