Daily Talker: Lunch Lady Fired For Giving Free Meal
A lunch lady in Idaho claims she was fired for doing what she says was the right thing. Dalene Bowden says she gave a free meal to a middle school student who told her she didn't have money for lunch. A supervisor reported the incident and Bowden was fired for theft. Bowden said, "My heart hurts. I truly loved my job and I can't say that I wouldn't do it again." She has hired an attorney and there's now a growing campaign on social media to get her job back.
