Daily Talker: Depp To Begin Filming Bulger Movie In Cambridge
A block in Cambridge is getting a makeover -- to look more like South Boston.
Filming is about to begin on "Black Mass", a new movie based on the life of convicted gangster Whitey Bulger, starring Johnny Depp as the convicted mobster. On Wednesday, movie crews transformed the outside of a Polish American Club in Cambridge into a replica of Triple O's Lounge, Bulger's infamous hangout.
Across the street, other storefronts are being transformed to look like the Southie of decades ago.
Depp is making quite a transformation as well. Photos that showed up on a Facebook fan website showing the actor in make-up as Bulger.
Filming is scheduled to begin next week.
