'Significant' Water Main Break In Concord Affecting Residents Across Town
CONCORD (CBS) -- Crews are working to repair a "significant" water main break in Concord. The town said the break is affecting water pressure for residents, and some may not have any water at all.
It happened near Baker Avenue and Macintosh Lane by the Concord Green. The area from 300 Baker Avenue to Main Street is closed, and police encourage drivers to find an alternate route.
Signs in the area suggest using Route 2 instead.
Concord Middle School had a two hour delay because of the leak, the superintendent said.
Jennifer Hatfield woke up to water issues at home.
"At first i thought there was something wrong with my water, and i was thinking I should call a plumber. Then i realized that's not it," said Hatfield, who has been unable to get around the construction. "They're not telling me anything. I'm just trying to get out of here to get to work."
