Bourne Police Offer 'Accounting' Services To Drug Dealers This Tax Season

BOURNE (CBS) – It's tax season, and Bourne police are offering to help drug dealers with their "business dealings" in a tongue-in-cheek Facebook post.

"With tax season rapidly approaching, we know how hard it can be for you to provide a detailed accounting of your business related income and expenses," police write. "That's why our certified drug transaction reporting specialists will be available 24/7, free of charge, to assist you with analyzing your business dealings."

Bourne police also note that "records and receipts for businesses expenses and transactions are very helpful."

The Facebook post was shared about 5,000 times in just a few hours on Thursday.

Anyone willing to take police up on their offer is invited to come to 175 Main St. and request the "Tax Security Special."

Last year, Charlton police went with a similar tactic on social media, offering to help drug dealers eliminate their competition.
