Boston's First Sound Stage Opens
BOSTON (CBS) -- Lured by the state's generous film industry tax credit, Los Angeles-based Quixote Studios has opened for business in Allston. Quixote and Smashbox have invested $1.5 million into the sprawling studio designed for TV, music video, film and fashion photography.
The facility contains a pair of sound stages, make-up room, production offices and a warehouse.
Quixote Studios CEO Mikel Elliott says the Massachusetts Tax Credit was a major factor in locating the West Coast company's first East Coast operation in Boston.
