A Harvard Square gem since 1960, Mr. Bartley's is hands down the absolute best burger place in the Boston area. Stepping inside the unassuming storefront is like stepping back to a simpler time. Classic burgers and malted milkshakes are Mr. Bartley's specialty. Don't forget your cash. The restaurant does not accept credit or debit cards. This is a great place to take visiting guests because their burgers are all named after Boston personalities. Try the Tom Brady or the Charlie Baker. If  you have a large appetite, go for the Big Papi.

The Times is a great place to enjoy a delicious, juicy burger in the sun with a refreshing beer. The Times is known for their gooey, cheesy sandwiches and their burgers are no exception. They offer a classic burger, a veggie burger, or a turkey burger with cilantro, which is a great lighter option for those keeping an eye on their waistlines this summer. In addition to their burgers, The Times offers a short rib grilled cheese sandwich that is absolutely to die for. Plus, their copious outdoor seating makes it a great go-to for any summer meal.

5 Napkin Burger is slightly more upscale than the other options on this list, but as a burger joint, it is still far from fancy. But here, you can sit down for dinner and enjoy wait service, a cocktail and a great list of appetizers and side dishes. One of their best appetizers are the fried pickles, which are wrapped up with prosciutto and topped with a savory remoulade. Enjoy with a frosty pint of beer for the perfect meal.

Uburger is another delicious burger option in Boston. With more than three convenient locations around the Boston area, Uburger gives traditional fast food burger joints a run for their money. Uburger has a fast food vibe, but with much tastier and higher quality menu options and hand-cut fries. Ranging from $5 to $7, Uburgers are still affordable and are a great option for a quick lunch or dinner. Definitely try the Boom Burger if you like spice as their chipotle sauce is absolutely fantastic.
