Boston's Best Barbecue Joints

There are tons of great barbecue spots throughout the Boston area that are very well known, but what about the smaller BBQ joints that keep popping up, from food trucks to eateries in up-and-coming neighborhoods like the Seaport and Dorchester? The following five spots have all of the messy, delicious BBQ sauce-slathered meats you could ask for, plus plenty of sides to accompany them like mac 'n cheese or cole slaw.

For everything from jazz brunch to old fashioned BBQ food favorites, or even live entertainment and cocktails at night to let loose, Ryles jazz club has it all. The menu features Mitch's traditional barbecue menu with barbecue meat and all of the sauce and sides you could ask for. Start off with shrimp and sausage gumbo. Then indulge on a BBQ combo platter. You have the option for a combination of BBQ chicken, baby back ribs or Texas beef ribs with side dishes such as hushpuppies, cole slaw or baked beans, among many others.

There is also a children's menu, making it a great family-friendly dining destination. Besides BBQ, the other menu options include fajitas, salmon, burgers and tons of other choices at this Brookline Village eatery.
