BOSTON – First and foremost, happy Independence Day! And what a day it is to celebrate the 4th of July.
It's best to leave the past in the past but we can use our recent holiday history to make sure we take advantage of the stunning outlook this time around.
Independence Day 2021 marked a 4-day stretch of rain which recorded nearly five inches of water in Boston. This year, however, we will be bone dry!
If you are planning on grilling today, make sure you have the water bottle and not just the adult beverages.
Afternoon highs will land in the 80s away from the water. Low humidity will keep it comfortable but in July fashion it will still be quite hot for interior locations.
Mostly sunny skies will lead plenty to the beach, as they should! Picture perfect day to be on the sand.
The UV index is still high so sunscreen will be necessary. Afternoon highs will arrive near high tide and this likely lands a few degrees shy of 80°.
Temperatures will slide from the 80s into the 70s (60s by the coast) just after sunset. Still it's a wonderful night for fireworks displays as we stay mainly clear.
