Women's Defending Champ Caroline Rotich Drops Out At 5-Mile Mark
BOSTON (CBS) - Defending women's champion Caroline Rotich of Kenya dropped out of the 2016 Boston Marathon Monday at the 5-mile mark of the race with an ankle injury.
She was seen getting her ankle taped at Mile 5 and was reported officially out of the race by the WBZ-TV Boston Marathon Spotter's Network.
