Boston Group Helps Those In Mortgage Trouble
BOSTON (CBS) - A Boston-based non-profit launches a massive effort here to help families struggling with their mortgages.
NACA, Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, is hosting dozens of bank representatives at the World Trade Center in South Boston to help people modify or restructure their mortgages on the spot.
Counselors determine an affordable mortgage payments for the borrower with many plans approved quickly.
NACA has contracts with leading banks to bargain in good faith.
The NACA Save-the-Dream event runs through Tuesday night, November 2, at 9:00 p.m. at the Seaport World Trade Center in South Boston.
