Boston-Bound Flight Briefly Evacuated Due To 'Suspicious' Passengers
BOSTON (CBS) -- Two men were removed from a flight headed from Washington, DC to Boston after the flight crew reported the men were acting suspiciously, according to a spokesperson for American Airlines.
Passengers on Flight 2124 at Reagan National Airport were evacuated shortly after boarding.
"It was scary, but they handled it really well," passenger Caitlyn Chambers told WBZ-TV.
"All passengers were deplaned while the K9 swept the aircraft and did not detect any abnormalities," the spokesperson told CBS News.
Passengers reboarded and the plane landed at Logan airport shortly before 7p.m.
The men were questioned by police and were released. They will be re-accommodated on a later flight, the airlines spokesperson said.
