Bill Cosby Gives Deposition For Lawsuit In Boston, Accuser's Attorney Says

BOSTON (CBS) –Bill Cosby gave a deposition for several hours on Friday in Boston, an attorney for one of the woman claiming to have been sexually assaulted by the comedian told reporters on Saturday.

Attorney Gloria Allred provided an update Saturday at the Omni Hotel on the case of her client, Judy Huth.

Huth alleges that in 1974 when she was 15 years old Cosby molested her at the Playboy Mansion.

According to Allred, Cosby gave a deposition from 9 a.m. until about 4:30 p.m. Friday in Boston.

The deposition will not become public until at least December 22 as the court has placed a protective order on the testimony of both Cosby and Huth.

On December 22, a hearing is scheduled to determine if that protective order will be extended.

Huth is set to give her deposition on Thursday, Oct. 15.

During her Saturday press conference, Allred said she will seek to take further deposition of Cosby at a later date.

Cosby is not facing any criminal charges, but faces multiple civil lawsuits and dozens of women have come forward claiming the comedian sexually assaulted them at various times over the past several decades.

A federal judge ruled Friday that a lawsuit brought against Cosby by three woman who say he abused them can move forward and will not be dismissed.
