Belichick: Patriots To Activate Marcus Cannon After Cancer Battle
FOXBORO (CBS) - Rookie Marcus Cannon will be brought onto the Patriots roster, coach Bill Belichick said during his conference call on Tuesday.
"I would expect that by 4 p.m. we'll make that decision and bring him on to the roster," Belichick said.
A fifth-round draft choice out of TCU in April, Cannon was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma shortly before the NFL draft.
He returned to the practice field last month.
The team needed to decide whether to activate Cannon or place him on season-ending injured reserve by Tuesday.
