74-Year-Old Man Hit By Car, Seriously Hurt In Waltham

WALTHAM (CBS) – A 74-year-old man was hit by a car and seriously hurt in Waltham Monday morning.

He was crossing Main Street around 6:30 a.m. when he was struck and hit the car's windshield, shattering it. The man was rushed to the hospital and is in stable condition. His name has not been made public, but police said he lives in Waltham.

The driver, a 72-year-old man, stopped.

There's no word yet on what caused the crash. No charges have been filed at this point in the investigation.
