25-year-old Matthew Murray was arraigned in Quincy District Court on drunk driving and motor vehicle homicide charges.
Prosecutors say he was intoxicated and driving a pickup truck early Sunday morning in Weymouth, when he lost control after smashing into a snow bank.
The truck flipped over and a passenger, 25-year-old April Ivil, was ejected and killed.
Murray was treated for minor injuries.
Prosecutors said a 30-pack of Budweiser beer spilled out of the pickup truck during the crash.
