Lawmakers to discuss bill that aims to alter medical debt collection laws

Lawmakers in Annapolis are set to discuss HB268 on Tuesday - a push prohibiting hospitals from suing patients to collect unpaid medical bills. If passed, the bill would go into effect October 1, 2025.
