Writing Conference Nora Roberts Helped Launch In Its 3rd Year
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A western Maryland fiction-writing conference that Nora Roberts helped launch is losing her name but retaining her support.
The Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute runs Friday through Sunday in Hagerstown. The annual conference began in 2013 as the Nora Roberts Writing Institute at Hagerstown Community College.
The bestselling romance and mystery novelist says the name change reflects a commitment to guiding and training fiction writers in every genre.
Roberts and her husband Bruce Wilder continue to support the project. Their bookstore in nearby Boonsboro is sponsoring a reception and book-signing event at the college on Sunday.
