OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Dozens of injured service members are mounting up to raise awareness in the nation's capital about bicycling rehabilitation for disabled veterans.
The Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride begins Tuesday at National Harbor and continues through Saturday with events in Annapolis, Lorton, Va., and Mount Vernon, Va.
Soldier Ride is a cycling event involving adaptive hand cycles, trikes, and bicycles that have been modified to accommodate people with various injuries and disabilities.
After being fitted with cycles Tuesday, the group will take rides ranging from 17 miles to 25 miles.
