WEATHER BLOG: Nice October
A fairly mild start across the area with many readings in the 50s right now. Some patchy fog is being reported here and there but it should not be a huge problem as any patchy fog should diminish quickly after sunrise.
A pretty nice day on tap for us with a mix of clouds and sunshine with a large closed upper low going by well to our N and NW, so any instability showers associated with it also remain well off to our N and NW so it just turns out partly sunny, warm and nice by the afternoon.
After Saturday, the forecast remains warm and dry as the upper low opens up and lifts out and surface high pressure/upper ridging dominates the Southeast and mid-Atlantic, giving us a pleasantly warm westerly surface flow with rising 850mb temps. and thicknesses through the forecast period from Sunday through Tuesday.
