WEATHER BLOG: Hot Again

HI Everyone,

So there was this gnat flying around in Studio A this morning and I managed to inhale, and swallow it, right before one of my long, 1 minute 30 second, weather broadcasts.

NOOOOOO it could not have happened when all I had to say, on air, was "Sunny, and mild!" NOOOO it had to happen when I had to describe a rather complex scenario over the next 30 hours.

You know the story..front dives into the region, it brings with it showers and some t-storms. All that action begins later today, amps up overnight, and tomorrow will be a potentially really wet day, (at times).

Oh if it were only that simple to say on TV..At times we need to almost do a science lesson to explain the progression of these events. AND I am trying to regain my voice after almost coughing up my entire throat 30 seconds before we return to the air after the commercial break.

Half way through the weather segment I really wanted to say, 'Excuse me I think I have a piece of gnat between my teeth…"

What got me through was the easy tail end of the forecast..clearing and mild, and at night some might say cool. Yep it is going to be beautiful as we move into the week's end, and week end. Of course by

Friday, the most opportune time to have such an incident on the air, I suppose my only breakfast will be the usual Oatmeal, and protein powder. Normally bland, but healthy. As opposed to this day's ummmm, er,,,well, ..other type of protein.
