WEATHER BLOG: Cool, Sunny Day

Despite plenty of sunshine it will be a cool day today with a brisk westerly wind that will gust 20-25 mph. High pressure will build across the Northeast during the next few days and that will promote dry weather today through Wednesday. It will also turn milder during this time with Sunday milder than today, Monday milder than Sunday. We'll see an increase in cloudiness on Tuesday as the center of the area of high pressure pushes off the East Coast and a return southeast wind on the western flank of the high ushers in low clouds. The clouds will thicken and increase on Wednesday as a
storm system approaches from the west. Rain is likely Thursday, depending on the speed of the storm the rain may right on our doorstep Thursday morning but a slower storm would hold off the rain until the afternoon. Periods of rain Thursday night, but by Friday morning that storm system will be moving away and clouds will break for some sunshine with cooler weather next weekend.
