Vandals Set Fire To Playground Equipment At West Baltimore School
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A tough break for kids in one west Baltimore neighborhood.
Vandals set fire to the playground equipment at the Matthew Henson Elementary School.
Firefighters rushed in to put out the fire at about 3:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon, but not before the fire did thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Most of the equipment is now charred black. The slides are no longer useable.
Community leaders say children were to blame.
Police are still investigating.
