Authorities Lift Lockdown at U.S. Capitol
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A brief lockdown at the U.S. Capitol building was lifted early Friday morning, according to multiple reports.
People were told to shelter in place following an alert from the Senate sergeant-at-arms about unspecified police activity, The Associated Press and Politico reported.
Multiple outlets, lawmakers and journalists later tweeted about 9:45 a.m. that an all clear was given.
