Teen Sentenced To 40 Years In Fatal Shooting

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- An 18-year-old has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the fatal shooting of a man and the attempted robbery of another teenager in Salisbury.

Gerard Williams Jr. of Salisbury was sentenced Tuesday in Wicomico County Circuit Court.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that Williams was convicted in November of first-degree felony murder and 16 other offenses in the shooting death of Andres Aguilera, 23, and the attempted robbery of a 16-year-old.

Williams, who was 17 at the time of the crimes, was charged as an adult.
