Space Research Group Plans Headquarters In Md.

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- A non-profit organization that does research for the space program has acquired a building in Columbia for its national headquarters.

The Universities Space Research Association said Wednesday that it has acquired a 90,000 square foot building in the Columbia Gateway area. The group has outgrown its current headquarters in Columbia, which it has been since 1976.

Howard County Executive Ken Ulman said he was pleaded USRA decided to remain in Columbia.

USRA plans to move into the new facility in late November.
