Shawn Springs Previews The NFL playoffs
Shawn Springs is a former cornerback for the Washington Redskins and current analyst for Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic.
Shawn joined Ed and Steve to preview this weekends Wild Card Playoff game between the Redskins and Packers.
Steve asked Shawn about his thoughts on the Ravens disappointing season. Shawn noted that the front office didn't do a good enough job of acquiring talent, "you have a quarterback in place and a good coach in Harbaugh. They just didn't do enough to bring in talent. I think they overestimated the talent on their roster. I don't think they will be passive this off-season.
Ed asked Shawn what his predictions are for this weekend's NFL playoff games. Shawn has been very impressed with the play of the Seahawks to end the season, "I would say Seattle is the only team that can go anywhere on the road and get a win. I think they can go all they. I like the Redskins to win. I am a little nervous about that pick though. I like Kansas City to beat Houston. Andy Reid and Alex Smith are getting it going. I want to go with the Bengals at home, even though the Steelers have a lot of great receivers."
Shawn went on to discuss the progress Kirk Cousins has made this season, and whether a lack of experience will hurt the Redskins in the playoffs.
