Retired Firefighter Found Not Guilty Of Sex Abuse
TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A retired Baltimore County firefighter has been acquitted of charges of sexually abusing a minor.
Relatives say that a jury on Tuesday found 65-year-old Gregory Hudnet not guilty of sexual abuse of a minor.
Hudnet was charged a year ago after the alleged victim said Hudnet had abused the alleged victim between 2005 and 2008, when the alleged victim was a teenager.
Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger said he appreciates the jury's hard work and respects their verdict. He said cases in which the alleged crime occurred several years ago are difficult to prosecute.
