4 Dead, Including Suspect, At UK Parliament
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — At least four people are dead, including a suspect, and several others suffered "catastrophic injuries" after an incident that's being investigated as terrorism in London.
London's Metropolitan Police were called around 2:40 p.m. to the Westminster Bridge, where a vehicle had mowed down several pedestrians.
A suspect entered British Parliament a short time later, and the chamber was placed on lockdown after gunshots were heard, CBS News reports.
Authorities say that an officer was stabbed and wounded by the assailant inside the Parliament complex.
The suspect was wounded after being shot in the chest by an officer.
British authorities currently believe there's only one suspect involved in Wednesday's attacks.

Mark Rowley, head of counterterrorism at London's Metropolitan Police, says at least 40 people were wounded.
"We know that there are a number of causalities, including police officers, but at this stage we cannot confirm numbers or the nature of these injuries," according to a Metropolitan Police statement.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
