Ravens Prepare For A Season Without Dennis Pitta
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Ravens suffered a major loss over the weekend when Dennis Pitta dislocated his hip.
Mark Viviano has more on how the Ravens are dealing with this major injury.
Injuries are a part of football---even here in training camp. Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata limped off the field during practice. Sights like that add an additional scare to a Ravens team that has already lost Pitta---but the Ravens were quick to find a veteran replacement. Shenka wears number one, the number worn by Bolden, who's no longer a Raven. Now Shanko gets a shot.
"I have good experience and I'm going to bring it here. I'm going to give it all I've got. Nothing is given; you have to earn everything. That's what I'm coming here to do. I'm coming in here humble," said Visanthe Shiancoe.
It has been a fast-changing Ravens roster since the Super Bowl. The newest change is the return of fullback Vonta Leach. He was cut by the Ravens last month but has signed a contract to be back with the team.
