Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting In Cockeysville
COCKEYSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County police are investigating an officer-involved shooting.
According to police, they were called to a home on Daventry Drive for an assault in progress. The caller said that a man was threatening people with a knife.
When police arrived, they found that man in the garage with the knife. He refused to put it down and an officer shot him at least once. He has been identified as James Robert Rogers Jr.
Rogers was taken to an area hospital. His condition is not known at this time.
The officer involved will be put on administrative leave while the investigation continues. This is standard policy.
