Police Identify Woman In Officer-Involved Shooting
PIKESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police have identified a woman who was shot by an officer while carrying a metallic replica of a large-caliber handgun.
Officers say 40-year-old Stephanie Kamlot, whose address is not known, remains hospitalized.
The shooting occurred early Saturday outside a home in Pikesville. Police say they were called to the scene for a report of a suspicious person, and an officer saw the woman throw a rock at the house and break a window.
Police say the woman then pulled out the replica gun and refused several commands by the officer to drop it.
The officer shot her multiple times.
Kamlot has been charged in a warrant with first-degree assault and obstruction of justice.
