Police Arrest Man Who Fled Traffic Stop, Pointed Gun At Officers

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Baltimore Police have arrested a man they say pulled a handgun on officers following a traffic stop on Wednesday morning.

It happened around midnight in the 900 block of North Calhoun Street.

City police say they were conducting a traffic stop when the passenger of the vehicle--identified as Dejuan Hicks, 23--jumped out of the car and fled the scene on foot.

During the pursuit, police say Hicks pulled a handgun and pointed at police.

As officers raised their weapon, police say Hicks threw his gun to the ground and fled from police, again.

He was later arrested charged with several handgun violations and assault on police.

No one was injured in the incident.
