Plane Crashes Near Airport In Bowie After Pilot Overshoots Runway
BOWIE, Md. (WJZ)-- No one was injured after a plane crashes near Freeway Airport on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the plane crashed into a small fence that borders US-50.
The crash apparently happened during landing training when the pilot overshot the runway.
The plane was identified as a Cessna 172, according to Mark Brady, a spokesperson for EMS and fire services in Prince Georges County.
