Owners, Trainers, Jockeys Gather For Alibi Breakfast
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- An annual tradition of Preakness Week, the Alibi Breakfast, took place Thursday morning.
Jessica Kartalija explains owners, trainers, jockeys and others gathered at Ole Hilltop at the Pimlico Race Course to talk about the big race and grab a bite to eat.
The breakfast gives horse trainers a chance to give a comical alibi in case their horse fails to win.
The 138th running of the Preakness Stakes will be held this Saturday.
The race is the second leg in the Triple Crown series.
WJZ will have more information at 5 and 6.
