Over $2M Raised For Ride To Conquer Cancer

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Ride to Conquer Cancer has raised over $2 million for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial and Howard County General hospitals.

Over 500 riders took part in the two-day, 150-mile cycling event.

"The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a testament to strength in numbers and we are very thankful to the community of riders, donors, sponsors, crew members and volunteers whose commitment has enabled the second annual Ride to be a great success," said Dr. William Nelson, Director of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.

Money raised goes to support cancer research.
