Officials Identify Women Who Died In Garrett County fire
ACCIDENT, Md. (AP) -- Maryland fire officials have identified a 38-year-old woman who died after a fire at a Garrett County home.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal said in a news release Tuesday that 38 year-old Sabreena Daneen Brennan died in the fire that broke out on Friday in a house in Accident.
Officials say the first firefighters on the scene found Brennan unconscious on the floor of a bedroom in the one-story home. She was taken to a hospital, where officials say she died from heavy smoke inhalation.
Officials say it took firefighters about 10 minutes to control the fire that was contained to the living room. Smoke alarms were operating at the time. Damage was estimated at $65,000.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
