Northbound I-270 Closed Near Frederick After Crash
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say all lanes of northbound Interstate 270 are closed in the Frederick area.
Police say the road will be closed for about three hours Thursday morning after a car crashed into a pole holding an overhead sign north of New Design Road. Police say a Chevrolet Malibu went off the road and hit the sign early Thursday. The driver was taken to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
The road will be closed for several hours while the sign is removed and replaced.
Traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 70.
