No Injures Reported From Minor Train Derailment In Baltimore
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Fire officials say a minor train derailment in southeast Baltimore has been cleared.
City fire department spokesman Ian Brennan says a few cars derailed on a train owned by Canton Railroads, a local transportation company. He says the cars did not flip over, and no one was injured.
The derailment occurred around 8:30 a.m. on tracks near the Fort McHenry Tunnel, and the dislodged cars were blocking a vehicle crossing.
Brennan says CSX crews responded and were able to clear the crossing and reopen the street within 20 minutes.
