New Mosaic Is A Sign Of Hope In Sandtown-Winchester
BALTIMORE (WJZ)--A sign of hope in a neighborhood torn by violence just a few weeks ago.
The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's 'Orchkids' accompanied the crowd today at New Song Academy in Sandtown-Winchester as a mosaic was unveiled.
Over 800 volunteers from and members of the Sandtown community worked over a year to create this beautiful work of art.
Congressman Elijah Cummings and the mayor were there--the mayor calling the mosaic a beacon of hope and a source of strength for Sandtown.
