National Zoo's Kids' Farm Closed Due To E. Coli Discovery
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJZ) -- The Smithsonian has closed an exhibit at the National Zoo due to an E. coli discovery.
According to the zoo, the Kids' Farm is temporarily closed because E. coli stx 1 gene bacteria was discovered in a few of the animals.
The animals are now being managed under quarantine protocols.
No staff have been effected and no animals are showing signs of disease.
