Motorcycle Operator Dies After June 8 Crash

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County Police say a motorcycle driver injured in a crash last month has died.

Officers say 56-year-old John Harvey Stratton of Parkville and a passenger were riding a motorcycle on June 8 near Magnolia Lane in Annapolis. Police say Stratton lost control of the motorcycle on a curve, traveled on a grass median and struck a tree.

Stratton and the unidentified passenger were taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The passenger was released. Officers say Stratton died on June 29.

Police say Stratton was not wearing an approved motorcycle helmet. The accident is still under investigation.
