Md. Senate Passes Bill To Expand Gaming

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The state Senate has signed off on a bill to bring table games and a sixth casino to Maryland.

The Senate voted 35-11 on Tuesday to move the bill forward.

It would pave the way for a sixth state casino license in Prince George's County and increase the amount of revenue slots parlor owners are allowed to keep by 8 percent.

The measure now moves to the House of Delegates. The bill must be approved by the House and governor and ratified by a majority of Maryland voters.
