Md. Man Struck, Killed On I-495 Near Disabled Car
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- A 21-year-old Upper Marlboro man is dead after being struck on the Capital Beltway when he got out of his disabled vehicle.
Maryland State Police say David Callahan was killed late Saturday when another vehicle crashed into him and his car.
Callahan had stopped along the Beltway's inner loop near Landover Road, apparently because of engine trouble.
Callahan's brother, 19-year-old Daniel Callahan, stayed in the vehicle and was seriously injured in the crash.
The other driver wasn't injured. No charges were filed.
