Maryland Beats Winless UNC Greensboro 99-56
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Jordan Williams had 23 points and 13 rebounds, freshman guard Terrell Stoglin scored 18 and Maryland beat winless North Carolina-Greensboro 99-56 Wednesday night for its 15th consecutive home victory.
Adrian Bowie scored 16 and Cliff Tucker added 13 for the Terrapins (7-3), who begin Atlantic Coast Conference play Sunday against visiting Boston College. Maryland's home winning streak includes eight ACC games last season and six non-league games this year.
It was the eighth double-double for Williams and his fourth straight. It was also the fourth game in which he scored more than 20; he finished three points short of his career high.
Kyle Randall led the Spartans (0-8) with 18 points. Off to the worst start in school history, UNC Greensboro is 0-3 against ACC foes and next faces Wake Forest and Clemson on the road.
The Spartans are 0-4 against Maryland.
